Therapy for Adults & Teens

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

Therapy for Adults

Life's complexities can often leave us feeling disconnected or adrift. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, the weight of unresolved trauma, grief, or a deep sense of dissatisfaction, guilt or isolation, therapy provides a space to slow down, unravel what feels tangled and overwhelming, and move towards new possibilities of being.

Often, the symptoms that trouble us—panic, numbness, addictive patterns, nightmares, or a sense of emptiness—are not just problems to fix but messages pointing to deeper parts of ourselves that long to be understood. In our work together, we’ll approach these struggles with curiosity and compassion, exploring them as expressions of parts of you that have been silenced, exiled, or stuck in survival roles. This process isn’t just about fixing what feels broken but about making space to listen—to the anger, the grief, the longing—and discovering what each part of you needs in order to move forward.

Our sessions might include talking about memories and dreams, noticing patterns in your relationships, reflecting on art, books, film and current events, or working with the body’s wisdom to process what words alone cannot touch. Additionally, we will explore your internal resources and strengths, helping you to build trust in them. The goal is not only relief from symptoms but a more integrated sense of self—one capable of moving through life’s complexities with greater freedom, authenticity and purpose.

I have worked with adults on a range of issues, but my areas of focus and expertise include: 1st, 1.5, 2nd+ generation immigrants who identify as Asian-American Pacific Islander, Black, Indigenous or person(s) of color; complex trauma and early relational wounds; pregnancy/postpartum/transition to Motherhood, love/sex addiction; dissociative experiences and altered states of perception; grief and loss; and dreamwork.

Therapy for Teens

Adolescence is a time of profound change—physically, emotionally, and socially. With these transitions can come confusion, intense emotions, and a sense of being misunderstood. Whether your teen is navigating the pressures of school, changing relationships, struggles with identity, self-esteem, or a painful experience, therapy can be a safe and supportive space to explore what they’re going through.

Together, we’ll reflect on the challenges your teen is facing, build resources to help them process overwhelming emotions, and nurture a stronger sense of self—one that isn’t so easily shaped by outside pressures or self-doubt. We might talk things through, use creative expression, or incorporate mindfulness techniques to help them reconnect with their body or environment when emotions get intense.

Therapy is an invitation for your teen to step back and see themselves more fully—to process their experiences, uncover their strengths, and cultivate the tools and resilience they need to move through this complex phase of life and into adulthood with confidence and clarity.

I have worked with teens on a range of issues, but my areas of focus and expertise are: issues related to self-esteem and identity exploration (gender, race, sexuality, etc.); navigating painful or traumatic experience(s); adjusting to parental separation or divorce; existential concerns and meaning-making; self-harm, substance use or risky behaviors.
